Anshu is an acid attack survivor from Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. At the age of 13, she was attacked by a man she trusted after refusing his advances. The assault caused severe facial injuries and loss of vision in her left eye, followed by years of surgeries and suffering. Despite this, she never lost hope.

Education and Skills

Through her association with Sheroes Store, Anshu has rebuilt her confidence and purpose through dignified engagement and self-expression. She redefined beauty as courage rather than appearance and continues to grow through resilience and learning.

Impact

Anshu’s journey speaks louder than her scars. She has represented survivor strength on national platforms, including the TEDx stage at IIM Lucknow, and is a recipient of the Face of Courage Award. Her life stands as a powerful reminder that courage, voice, and self-belief can transform pain into purpose.
